Employee News: Promotions & New Hires

We’ve been busy the first half of the year making changes and adding new team members to the Walsh Duffield family!  We’re happy to share all of our great news with our friends and clients:

Promotions


Christina Bell
has been promoted to an Account Executive within our Group Benefits department.  Her responsibilities will include the management and servicing of our large benefits clients.  Previously, Christina was working as a Service Coordinator handling large accounts, so we are sure the transition will be effortless.  Christina has been with Walsh Duffield since 2014. Prior to joining our team, Christina worked in the Human Resources field for two years.  She is a Business Management Major with a Minor in HR from SUNY Empire State.

Rebecca Lindsay will move into the newly created role of Compliance and Resource Coordinator for the Group Benefits division of Walsh Duffield.  Within this position, Rebecca will assist the benefits team with providing our clients with timely information and tools to remain compliant.  Her responsibilities will also include the management of all the great resources that we have available both internally and externally.  Rebecca began her career at Walsh Duffield in 2009 as an Account Specialist and earned her CEBS designation in 2016.  She graduated from University at Buffalo with a BS in Human Resources Management and worked as an HR Generalist at Darien Lake prior to her start at Walsh Duffield.

Jeremy Zolnowski has been promoted to the Team Leader of the Personal Lines marketing unit for Buffalo and Rochester.  Jeremy has been with Walsh Duffield for seven years and has helped shape the Marketing Department as a Marketing Analyst, placing a strong emphasis on new business growth and policy retention.  Within his new role as Team Leader, Jeremy will be responsible for personnel responsibilities, implementing workflows, and developing a smooth process for cross-sell and account rounding opportunities inside of Walsh Duffield.  He will be leading the marketing unit in an effort to achieve annual new business revenue goals.

New Hires

Yvonne Graser has joined Walsh Duffield as an Account Executive for large accounts within our Commercial Insurance division. In this role, Yvonne will be responsible for maintaining relationships, analyzing contracts, making recommendations and quoting coverages for our large commercial accounts. A graduate of both SUNY Geneseo and Buffalo State College, Yvonne spent the majority of her career at Blue Cross Blue Shield of WNY where she held positions in Human Resources and Commercial Accounts, serving most recently as a Benefit Consultant for New Sales. Yvonne is licensed in both Accident and Life and Property Casualty.

Samantha Luce was hired as an Account Executive in our Personal Insurance Division. Within this role, Samantha will work in our Customer Care Center in Rochester, appropriately managing requests and providing issue resolution and education to clients. Samantha is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.  She comes to us with a strong customer service and research background.

Cori Netzel has joined Walsh Duffield’s Administrative Services Department as a Human Resources Generalist.  Within this role, Cori will be responsible for recruitment and staffing, HR company policies and procedures, employee relations, and benefits and payroll. Cori joins us with over 16 years of HR experience at Aleron/SDI (Formerly known as Superior Group).

Daniel Ozimek has joined Walsh Duffield as a Retirement Plan Consultant.  Within this role, Dan will service existing retirement clients.  Dan has recently passed his Series 7 – General Securities Representative Exam and his Series 66 – Uniform Combined State Law Exam.  He joins us with over seven years of experience in the retirement plan industry, specifically related to plan compliance and administration, most recently, working as a Pension Administrator with Actuarial Consulting Services.

Luke Work was hired as an Account Executive in our Personal Insurance Division. Within this role, Luke will work in our Customer Care Center in Buffalo, appropriately managing requests and providing issue resolution and education to clients. Luke joins us from Capo US Inc. where he was a Loss Control Representative working closely with insurance underwriters and policyholders to identify location hazards and make recommendations for improvements.
